Is Organized Religion Slowly Losing Its Grip Over Masses?

19

Is religion getting more and more personal? Most people, at least in the developed countries, are free thinkers and driven by free will rather than dictates of the organized religion. Your comments please.

Religion cannot keep a grip on the masses, only God can do something like that. Make no mistake, the end is near! There are signs everywhere and very few prophesies left to fullfil. Are you ready for what is about to take place? Keep watch! Seek Him while He can be found.

Organized religion is where mankind adds his ways to God’s way which corrupts the Gospel.
Organized religion is Satan’s greatest SECRET weapon. Yes, you heard it right. Satan has infiltrated the church and has subtly twisted the truth enough to make it false.
We all here of the stupidity and outrageous extremes some church leaders have gone as they have added their personal beliefs to the pure Gospel defiling it.
I once heard about a church that had a rule that the women’s dresses had to be a certain length below their knees. and was checked with a tape measure if there was doubt or question. I still haven’t found the book, chapter and verse in the bible about that!
I think the answer to your question is a big fat yes as people are starting to wise up.

Everyone has free will and religions are chosen by their adherents.
Followers chose to comply with a certain faiths dictates.
Any other organization that controls people is a cult.
People’s interest in organized religion waxes and wanes through many factors difficult to measure.

Depends on where you are. In the industrialized first world nations of the West, yes. In the third world nations, Like the United States, no, we’re moving more and more towards theocracy. It is very frightening. I’m starting to think about my exit strategy if the McCain and Palin actually win, or if Obama wins, and Bush declares martial law until the voting “irregularities” can be ironed out.
Any Aussies or Kiwis that want an aging American Playwright?

Christianity is a relationship with Jesus. It’s a personal relationship. Everyone has free will, and most religions are organized. Thank God for Jesus, who is the ONLY way!

Too many false teachers have eroded the base that organized religion once had. For me it has shown me the need to know God for myself, and not take the words of others as the way to go.

I sure hope so. Have you realized how technology has been advancing much faster in the last few centuries? Hopefully that’s because religion is losing it’s grip.

Actually, God’s Holy Spirit is moving across the earth and drawing people to God. Muslims are having dreams and visions and turning to Christ, as God’s Word prophesies. These are exciting times!

Yes, indeed that is correct. But it’s a glacial pace. It’ll take another couple of thousand years to free all people from the religious bondage.

Yes, it will be a world in 2000 years without a organized religion.

I hope so, people need to think for themselves instead of believing what somebody else told them.

Miguel K @ 4:22 pm #

If that is in fact the pattern, then it’s ALL GOOD. Religious differences are the bane of civilization.

Here’s hoping.
