Know where your stuff is. Buy a backpack with lots of pockets and compartments. Put your gym clothes in a secondary pocket and binders and others in the main compartment.

Keep each subject that has a lot of papers required in a seperate binder. divide the binders up into sections like “notes”, “homework”, “classwork”, “tests/quizzes”, etc. what I like to do is take one day a week, possibly over the weekend, and just clean out my binder. whatever loose papers that aren’t in a section and are just out in a folder I will file in the binder. it sounds like a lot of work but once you get into a routine, it’s easier. since you don’t have a locker use small binders, like maybe 1 or 1 and a half inches, and just clean them out every so often. just keep whatever stuff you need.
also, I think that a pencil bag really helps. I just got one for the first time last year and it’s surprisingly really beneficial.
hope this helps =]
