subliminal message CDs for self improvement using NLP?
does anyone know if these are for real? for example, this one claims to teach cantonese fast using subliminal messages:

this one claims to help you lose weight:

my fear is if that they really do work, how do you know that they’re not putting in subliminal messages telling you to buy all their CDs?

A lot of students are curious about whether or not subliminal CD work. The answer is….no. However, there has been a lot of interesting studies on subliminal influence. Nobody can give you a subliminal message that will make you buy a CD. Subliminal messages just aren’t that powerful. Check out the episode. I think you’ll find it interesting.
