I recommend the book, “Changing for Good.” It outlines a system for self-improvement that includes many ideas for how to keep yourself progressing.
“Changing for Good” is based on scientific research conducted by a team of psychologists. They studies thousands of people who had made significant changes in their lives, e.g. quit smoking, lose weight, etc.
They found that these people went through six stages. For each stage, “Changing for Good” gives several methods to use to get yourself to the next stage.

How does a person overcome lethargy and lack of motivation/drive to achieve a set goal? I can set goals all day, and have many great ideas and plans. Yet I find myself so lethargic and depressed I don’t execute action. How does one overcome this and re-energize their self?
