Self help books about happiness, success, anxiety and depression, etc.
Of the books I’ve read, the information seems to be either common sense or far-fetched.
What’s some good common sense advice and “help” you don’t find in these books?
For example, “You don’t need a book to tell you how to set goals. Just do it.”

As you can see this is not really a question, it’s more of a request. Am I right? But I just want to get some ideas from you all. A really good response will definantly get you 10 pts. If that’s what’s you’re after, that is.

I would like advice on how to manage stress within a group. Specifically, how and when to vent, and any tips or advice on how to keep yourself from impulsively wanting to vent frustration despite knowing it’s best to be patient.
Thanks!

I have. unfortunately I I dealt with and got almost all of it out, while i was in anger management. But if you really do need help with your anger, at least the classes I took, you can learn a lot about yourself and actual real techniques of dealing and handling your anger. It really depends on if you get a good or mediocre instructor on whether you will benefit or not. If after going through the course you don’t feel any different and have learned crap. Message me, I have too pamphlets well written and easy to get in to. that I could share out of or send to you. Take care.

Hello,
(ANS) YES! I do think its important to be positive in our outlook on life and also to try and be positive about ourselves. I think we live in a dreadfully negative culture were every hour of every day the news reports disaster after disaster, or news which only focussed on horrible & extreme things. I think such constant negativity does have a pernicious or corrosive effect on the individual person. So I think trying to be positive is valuable to counter act this constant drip feed of negativity.
**My only caution is that it is also possible to go to far in the other direction too, meaning that if we are too positive its forced positivity i.e. its false or not real or we see life & everything through rose colored glasses. I’m not saying you will but I’m saying thats the extreme end if taken too far.
**we are all far to quick to judge ourselves & others, too quick to see the glass as half empty rather than half full. Too quick to see what we lack or don’t have in comparison to others rather than being extremely grateful & contented with the things we do have.
Good luck with developing your positivity of mind & out look.
NOTE: have you looked at how to use “contradictions” to counter inner negativity.?
Best Regards go well Ivan.

first u need to sit and decide what is really causing the anger????
somethings are out of Ur control
and if the anger is coming from something that is out of Ur control.. u need to let it go..or get away from it
if it is a job.. look for another one ..if it is a person.. then u could have what is called displaced anger..
and it is not anger.. but anxiety..
if it is anxiety.. then u need to go to counseling and find out why..??/ if it is cheating? then It is mostly likely Ur woman’s interwision talking to u..
and u are correct… about what u are thinking.. u just can’t prove it.. so u continue to tolerate it..
good luck
