I’ve been very paranoid and stubborn and i cannot control my anger these days. i’m 12 if thats important. how could i change into a positive attitude?

What I mean is, for things to change positively.
For instance,
A person suffering through a depression who wants to overcome it should change their views and their attitudes in order for them to make a successful recovery.
Or,
Someone who doesn’t have many friends because of his roguish behavior and no one trusts him, should change his attitude and be more open and polite in order for people to respect him.
And even in a bad neighborhood or apartment complexes where there’s constant evictions, violence, threats, and drugs involved and the community and managers need to change their attitudes to make it a safer place.
Also if a high school student is failing and doesn’t really care, but notices that because of his carelessness, it’s tearing him and his family apart and getting him nowhere in life except with people who make even worse decisions such as doing drugs or being apart of a violent group. He should change his attitude and get his education in order for him to feel successful and happy.
So is it true, in that sense, that you must change your attitude about certain things in order to make a positive change?
Or is there another way of explaining it?

Everyone says attitude is everything, and I agree, but how long can you keep it up? If everyday you are repeating confirmations and putting in effort to be positive, eventually the truth of how you feel about things will come out one way or another, putting you back where you are. I think the only way to change your attitude is to change your situation, then your attitude will change naturally.

I have had a negative attitude towards my self for as long as I can remember, even my grandmother commented about me being hard on myself at 3 years old. I dont want to accept that this is part of my personality, and I can’t change it. The attitude that I deserve punishment when I fail anyone’s expectations and that I expect to fail needs to stop. I don’t know where to start really, has anyone else dealt with the same thing or know how to become a more positive and self loving person?

well I know I got some issues with my attitude, am very serious and get mad really fast and I dont like to be around people much, am ingoing and kind of a loner to be honest, but I just want to change and be less aggressive or arrogant so I won’t make enemies, ALSO I am very extreme I either LOVE or HATE, I can’t pretend to love someone or fake my feelings, and I don’t buy people’s crap and I show it, and this ends up in me having lots of haters.

B. present the stimulus over and over again.
C. present only the positive qualities of the stimulus.

I don’t really mind my job, but I can’t stand the atmosphere I work in…it’s very competitive and people are argumentative, always trying to make others look bad or wrong.
Also, I’m an agency employee and there’s a very bad attitude within the company about agency employees. I find it hard to be positive and not so bitter. Any suggestions?

I just want to undrestand someones attitude whether it is positive or negative. Is there any way i can notice it?

To who this may concern: How did you all get side tracked on SSI disability..When I asked a question abou fileing taxes?
