I have my own small business. When I started I set small goals of aquiring a curtain amount of customers pre week. If I jumped on Monday per say, and obtained that many customers and put them on the services that we provide them (local and long distance telephone services, Internet, VOIP, digital, video, satallite tv, and cellular through all the major cellular phone providers such as Verizon, T-mobile, Sprint, AT&T, Alltel, Nextell etc. My business runs a little different then the one your looking into starting or already have started. I’ve partnered up with these providers. Once I put a customer on a service, every month they pay their bills, we make a percentage every single month. So for my business, aquiring customers isn’t a customer with a one time sale. Once a customer is placed, I make a percentage every month they pay their bills. So I had set my goal to aquiring a curtain amount of customers each week, if Monday started and I acheived that goal, I could be done working for the week. (The goal to set was to my specification) Or I often opted to working again the next day to reach my next weeks goal. You can change your goals daily if you want. Just remember, in any type of business, the more customers you have, the more income you make.
anyways, My intermediate goals were goals I set for aquiring customers in a quartly fashion, then long term how many for that year. New services that came in through the providers, a curtain number I wanted to acheive on offering existing customers new products or services.
How about you?
