I’ve read articles that height is important if you are in high level management positions because people take you more seriously. I am considering entering a career in marketing, public relations, sales or business management. Am I going to have a hard time getting respect and authority if I am short and petite? Is height more important for men in management positions? As long as I’m intelligent and assertive, should my height matter? Can short, petite women still be successful in these types of careers?

What happened and why? What stress management techniques or strategies did you use to deal with the situation? Reflect on the situation. Based on what you know now (including information from this unit), what would you have done differently and why?

Secondly, consider a specific academic scenario that caused a lot of stress. Why was this event stressful for you as a learner?

I know the money isn’t very good, but it’s what would make me happy. My dad wants me to go into the medical field. There is demand and it pays good, but I wouldn’t be happy doing that.
What do you think is more important, being happy or having a job that pays a lot?
