I’m considering an offer for a draw against commission sales job. I’ve never worked under such an agreement. If I don’t achieve the sales goals that are set for me would I be legally required to pay back to the employer all the money that had been advanced to me as a draw? I imagine that federal Wage & Hour law applies in such circumstances, but I live in Maryland if that makes any difference.

if difficulty with controlling one’s temper in the workplace is creating problems to the working environment, why not? you either get sacked for misconduct (for causing the troubles) or go to the course…

I work for a not-for-profit organization and they have an internal goal of full time employee worked hours and to meet the goal they have told each department who many hours they are required to take off, either with vacation pay or unpaid each pay period to meet their internal goals. This goal does not have anything to do with productivity, it is purely based on an internal goal set by the Board. Am I mandated to take time off?

After I started work for a company a sales goal was set and if I do not meet that goal every month then he is going to cut my pay.
