In my opinion sexual desire is a harmful feeling. I think human relations will be much more beautiful and meaningful without it. So what are ways to achieve this self-improvement? And when I manage to achieve it will I ever find a woman who is willing to follow the same asexual path and be my loving companion forever?

I grew up with negative parents that had a negative outlook on life, which means I tend to be a negative person. Furthermore, I was teased in school growing up, have a hard time believing that anyone is fundamentally nice rather than fundamentally mean. Does anyone have any actual suggestions to keeping a positive outlook and how to repair that damaged psyche? I hear ‘keep your chin up” and, yada yada. But does anyone have a real answer as to what specifically has helped to change your thinking/attitude towards something?

When I’m getting angry, tears swell up in my eyes. The best concept I’ve found to stop it, is to go into a bathroom, stare at how bad I look, and burst out laughing.

However, when I don’t have time to do this, when I’m in an argument, for example, I usually close my eyes, though the tears still leak through. I do need a new concept though.

I know, I know, crying is a good stress management technique, blah blah. I don’t care. I need some practical ways to stop the tears when they are inconvient. I know when I need to cry, and I do. But not when I’m angry.
So.
Any suggestions?

I swear to god, if you say “Laugh!”, or “Close your eyes!”, I will hunt you down and throw a book at your face so you can learn to read before you type.

*sigh* And I don’t believe in God, so please do not say prayer.

There are probably thousands and thousands of self-help books out there ranging from weight-loss to stress management to how to work better, love better, live better, and everything inbetween. Often, people will read through these books, and then go on about their lives as usual, with nothing having changed. I am curious to know if anyone has ever experienced a change in their life that resulted from reading/applying information from a self-help book. What book was it? Tell me about your experience.

My whole life school has been hell, and now I’m finally leaving.

My question is, how do I build up my self esteem? I let it be brought down so much by other people. I always feel paranoid, and I’m convinced something is wrong with me.

So how do I build it from literally nothing at all? I need to be strong to survive in this world. I just don’t know how.

im not a superficial person and try 2 make everything fair. but im not happy now. i feel happy when ppl compliment my things and i feel it adds value to it. otherwise i dont feel adequate about that certain thing. plz give me some intellectual answers
