i used to be overweight i thought if i lost weight i would regain my self esteem but after losing 50 lbs and going from a size 11 to a size 1 i still feel like im not good enough. i guess every since i had my son i just dont feel hot anymore first i was too big after having him and now i feel like i have no figure at all…. idk how to make myself happy anymore! what must i do to get my self esteem back?

I want to lose weight, make over my appearance, set a general career path for myself and get a job, improve my marriage, get over my shyness and lack of self-confidence and get out of debt. I’ve decided that I want to start trying to accomplish all of those things starting tomorrow. Do I need to let some of those go by the wayside at least temporarily?

I’ve been reading books on self help and on how to control anxiety. I have some social anxiety and I’ve been trying to apply everything I am learning about how to go about changing my self image etc…

But how do I convert the words on the page to improvement. The problem is that by reading something that it just doesnt become gospel and become stone in your head. I still have those negative thoughts and no matter how hard I try to get rid of them they always resurface no matter how many books I may read.

So My question is, how do I take what I read in a self help book and make some permanent change in my behavior.

Is affirmations the only way?

I dont know, I dont get things done on time I seem to have a lot of things to do… I sometimes feel tired and I dont get enough sleep some days.

I think I am too distracted from many things. What can I do to help myself.

Whenever I try to give my own opinion about something or whenever I am asked for an explanation, I have trouble trying to express myself clearly. My thoughts get very cloudy and I have to struggle to get out what I want to say. Whatever I do get out however, is rather cluttered and disorganized. I’ve listened to myself speak and I’ve managed to put myself asleep!

Whenever I’m not speaking however, I can express myself fine through thinking, writing, etc. It’s rather frustrating because I can hardly keep a good conversation going for more than a few seconds without boring the other person to death. Is there some way to fix this?

I’m never happy. I always worry about what’s gonna happen to me like if something bad is gonna happen to me and it’s not always good. I don’t have any friends. I’m stressed out at school and at home because of school work. Idk what to do. How can I be happy with others and especially me?

I am really shy and I want to achieve some goals to get over it. In the past I have and it made me feel better, but I always quit.
The scariest goal i have set for myself is to ask a girl out, and i did.
There is another girl that I like, but I dont know her well enough yet to ask her out. I need a goal for that and some more please, to help me be more comfortable in high school some easy ones so I dont loose my sanity. Please
