I think that people always want more than what they have. There is ALWAYS something else that we want. I personally believe that there’s nothing wrong with wanting more, but I think that we should also not let our “wants” make us forget what we have. So, my question is….How can a person just learn to be happy with what he or she has?

In my own case for example have seen that it isnt how bright/dumb you are that really counts in job/college success, its motivation. But, why is it more difficult for some people to crave success and simply put their noses to the grind and work? And others myself included find it easy to slack off?

I’ve been working at a local restaurant for a little over a year now. It seems that no matter what I do or how hard I work, people get mad at me. I treat everyone the same, I give them no special treatment, and I don’t talk about any of them behind their backs. It was just brought to my attention 2 girls were upset by the fact that I always seem happy. Could this be true of the other girls and if so why?

Most people I know with quite low self esteem believe both that they don’t matter very much to anyone and also that other people must talk about them all the time (negatively).
It’s a strange combination.

It seems like life is not really all about making sure you are happy. Happiness is a dilusion, and an excuse for people to be selfish and childish and use the excuse “I’m not happy”. Do you agree with this?

I’m only 30 years old, but I’m beginning to realize that if I had a ton of money it wouldn’t make me happy. I know for a fact that if I won the lottery I would probably forget about the important things in life and blow it on negative things (liquor, weed, women, etc). So I would rather never be rich!

We have to protect ourselves from crime and illegal aliens. We need to build a vehicle that is relevent to our situation. I would love to ride a horse but it would be illegal. We need to find a way to bring down the cost of food so everyone can eat not just the illegals on welfare. Does anyone get the picture?
