I was thinking the ones other than smoking, drinking and or dieting. Perhaps on a more simplistic note, like small little areas of self improvement, job change and or steps toward leading a more meaningful life. An adjustment toward the pursuit of happiness.

(please don’t be too hard on me)
I am a loner (i hate to sound melodramatic ……but that is the truth)……I’m too shy ( and maybe even diffident) to make any friends in real-life, but ever since i started living my life on the internet, i have made so many nice friends. I have even become popular and managed to have a fan following ( something i can never imagine to happen in real life).
..But how did i make these friends? you ask…..well,.. with the help of a lot of lies……some little white lies and some other lies that would even make President Bush to blush.
However i have never hurt or cheated anyone (except myself)….and i want to stop before i do so……i want to stop lying.
please don’t tell me..” go get help…” OR “Accept Jesus into your Heart”….OR…”Switch off your Comp and go get a life”…….i wish it were as easy as that.
It is not easy to leave something (even if it is not real…..or is it?) that made you happy, that made you feel needed……and go back to an empty world…..a world that wouldn’t notice if you disappeared….. a world that does not need you.
Thank you

I am VERY realistic. I never dream of having things that I know I could never achieve. I do set goals for myself, but I make sure they are achievable. It just seems like some people just expect the world to feed them and think that they are going to always be happy. I don’t expect anything, I just work hard for what I want.
So what are you?
Dreamer or realist? N WHY>?

I am training for a road ride in exactly one month. I have not ridden a bike regularly for about 5 years (and then only for a few miles at a time). Several months ago I rode 20 miles (I am not sure how long it took me). I consider myself to be in decent shape. Today I started my training I went about 9.5 miles in just over an hour. I plan to train 1-2 hours 5-6 days a week (that seems to be the recommended amount of training).
What do you think is a realistic goal for the distance I will be able to ride?
Here are the choices:
A. 50 miles – Day 1
B. 75 miles – Day 1
C. 75 miles – Day 1
35 miles – Day 2
D. 75 miles – Day 1
75 miles – Day 2 (I am pretty sure this one is out)

That there is going to be a committee to set realistic goals for 2010 by 2009. In the meantime, I am enjoying my aimless life, and may impeach the committee by 2011 if they come to conclusions I don’t like.

donald trump says think big! a proverb commands you aim for the moon to land among the stars; many will tell you to imagine the wildest things and that anything is possible if you put your mind to it; yet others will tell you to set realistic goals to avoid disappointment/discouragement;
how do you distinguish the fine line, who should you listen to?
