As part of one of my classes, I have to interview someone already working in my chosen profession (psychology). The goal is to learn about what the work is really like and to help me choose courses and set goals wisely.
The only question I’ve committed to is “If I were to apply to work here today, what would you want to see on my résumé?”
Any other good ideas/suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

when i set a goal. i write it down. i explain what it is i want to do,how i will accomplish it and set a realistic time line for when i will finish. because the most successful people(2% of the population) do this and keep this goal in clear view. i understand that. but what happens when i do not accomplish it. what should i do to overcome this and try again because i seem to drop the goal completely after as if i failed and there is no way to move on. which i know is not true. what should i do.

Especially since the tree was out of season. Believers, however, will go to great lengths to explain that it’s a parable and not to be taken literally. The good stuff, amazingly enough, can all be taken literally. Convenient how that works out.

I have diabetes, chronic fatigue, Sjogren’s Syndrome, and Celiac Disease….whew!….
I went through college and got my engineering degree and after that I have just been so sick that when I get work I just can’t keep up with it I have tried going back to school and getting a Master several times and I can’t keep up with that either.
The whole experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating and I feel I have turned into this grumpy old lady (I’m 28) who just complains about how sick she is. The worst part is that I don’t really think I am that type of person. I used to be a very positive and vibrant person.
Now I have decided to try and regroup. So moved in with my parents and to take really good care of myself for a whole year so I can try to move on with my life once I have better health.
How can be more positive in this situation?

I honestly do not remember the word being mentioned. (Other than for football or hockey games) I had no other ‘goals’ than to get married and have babies, but that was not a goal, that’s just what we DID…it was the 50′s!
Would your life have been very different if you had set goals?
