When I’m getting angry, tears swell up in my eyes. The best concept I’ve found to stop it, is to go into a bathroom, stare at how bad I look, and burst out laughing.

However, when I don’t have time to do this, when I’m in an argument, for example, I usually close my eyes, though the tears still leak through. I do need a new concept though.

I know, I know, crying is a good stress management technique, blah blah. I don’t care. I need some practical ways to stop the tears when they are inconvient. I know when I need to cry, and I do. But not when I’m angry.
So.
Any suggestions?

I swear to god, if you say “Laugh!”, or “Close your eyes!”, I will hunt you down and throw a book at your face so you can learn to read before you type.

Carry on.

*sigh* And I don’t believe in God, so please do not say prayer.

I am so bummed out I don’t know what to do. My whole life is a big mess. Usually I am very neat, clean, and organized. Since the last week of April, I have been completely off track and it just gets worse and worse everyday. I’m throwing papers on the floor, laundry is piled way up, I haven’t been to the grocery store in over a month, except for little trips for little things, and most days I don’t even make the bed. It’s like I can’t get going around here. After backing out of buying a house, I just went from wanting to move out of here to hating living here. I don’t even care about being clean anymore. It would be nice if this whole thing would end and we would move. I have cabin fever in the worst kind of way living in the same room I eat and sleep in is putting me over the deep end. Three years living in this apt. is way beyond my limit. I’m sorry this is so bummed out. There’s no one around to talk to, the kids are asleep. so it’s just me, the TV, and the computer.

I feel kind of lost, I’m keep searching for something, but I don’t know what it is, and I can’t find it. But really that thing I’m searching for is happiness. I know that the only way that you can really be happy, is inside of yourself, and you can’t be happy with anything of the outside, unless you are happy inside first. My question is, how?

I’ve been single for a month. After the break up, I decided to go out with friends, and enjoy myself. That doesn’t seem to help since most of my friends have been two-facing me. I was hurt by this, and I even tried dating, and I was rejected.

I just don’t know how to take it or handle it. Help me, how do you be happy with yourself?
