Teenagers: What Are Your Academic And Career Goals?

I’m pretty lucky because Ive always known what I want to do (though I don’t live in America). I just won a leadership scholarship, which means I will be able to study at New Zealands top university next year.
I will to do a bachelor of commerce majoring in business management and politics. Ill then go to Australia/America/England and do business/marketing. Later Ill come back to New Zealand and get involved in politics. I really love the idea of influencing my country’s future, and believe I have the skill to do so.
Its so awesome reading about what everyone else wants to achieve. I read an article in NZ the other day about Generation Y (called “generation Y bother?”) I think the wrong people get the most attention, and the many people who are actually keen to work hard to achieve their goals are overlooked.

if not that, i love maths, will be a Maths teacher.

I’m 14,
and when i graduate high school, i want to go to Columbia University,
and have a SAT score of 2200 minimum
I’m studying now to get a perfect score.
I feel like majoring in Marine Biology, or Neuroscience.
But I can’t decide which one.
And yet, I have a perfect social life

No, I am not a geek or anything,
I just have high goals for myself
Whoever says that teenagers are lazy, are obviously biased, or are just listening to the burn outs.
Because if teens were lazy, who would fill up the universities?

I want to do something that will give me the qualifications to live the life I want. My career will be the best and fastest way to earn money, so that I have the rest of my life free to live how I want. Something that I can come back to if I need more cash (but not drug dealing, sorry thats not an actual career.). LOL. Life is great, eh?

I love being on the A honor roll. And i always am, i freak when i get below an A. A- i get stress.
I want to be an orthopidic surgeon.

well, im a junior in high school right now, but once i graduate, i want to go to either the Culinary Institute in NY or the Art Institute in NY, get my basic degree & once i graduate from there i would like to travel to either Italy or France and study cooking there for a few years. Once I come back to the US, i would like to go to another college for hotel & restaurant management and once i get a degree from there, i would LOVE to open my own restaurant and be executive chef.
if my future works out that way, it would be wonderful. but we unfortunately dont live in a perfect world, so im going to get as close as i can get. :]

I want to go to collage at the University of Florida (UF) and become a nurse. =)

I plan on becoming a lyricist, but if it doesn’t work out I will become a biology teacher and I’m hoping one day to own my own hair salon.

i wanted to be a surgeon but i have shaky hands and bad eyesight

i’m a teenager, and i’m not lazy in that area!
since i’m about to go to high school soon, i will try to get into ap health or biology classes to fulfill my dreams of becoming a surgeon! (i study those things a bit during my free time) i also write a lot, since i really want to be a novelist too.
academic goals: get into ap or honors classes! or get straight a’s, if possible.

to be a nurse

I’m 18 & I have my whole life planned out, I will finish my senior year of high school, get in better physical shape, enlist in the Air Force & become a Combat Controller which i’ve wanted to do for awhile now. I also want to become a boxer in the Air Force. Then after my 2 years of the Combat Control pipeline training I want to get my 2 year associates degree in aerospace science or aeronatuics & l8ter get a 4 year bachelors degree from possibly a civilian college. I might l8ter become an Officer but not sure if I want to yet I know they get paid more but money is not really an issue for me. I want to stay in the Air Force for 20-26 years. I wouldn’t say i’m your average teenager lol i’m as far from lazy as you can get.

as soon as i graduate high school, i plan to study mass communications or psychology in the university of the philippines then i’ll study drama.

my academic goal right now is to keep making all A’s even through high-school. also i want to go to college at either Liberty University(its in Lynchburg, Virgina) or Tennessee. i want to major in Education and my career i want to have is a 7th or 8th grade LA teacher.

I have 2 choices….I am planing on going to a career in wildlife management for the National Park Service…but I also want to be a youth pastor…….and maybe even a missionary…..but the cool thing is I can do 2 of those things at once ( Wildlife Management and Youth Pastor…..) Being a missionary would be cool but that is sort of a fall back

I wanna graduate from high school in the top 20 of my class, go to WVU and get a degree in English or Physical Therapy. Get my masters in something from WVU. Go to either Brown or Yale and get my doctorate in English or Physical Therapy and then have a really good job as either a Physical Therapist or an English Proffesor. If i am a Physical Therapist i want to eventually open my own business, If i go with the English i want to eventually be a proffesor at WVU. I guess thats about it! Oh i also want to write a book!

i want to do aero-space engineering, then go to IIT and then write a GR EA TOEFL and go to US or Australia , do my pH.d in astrophysics and get a good job which pays me enough.

Go to UGA or UCLA,
I want to major in Astronomy and be an astronomer/astronaut.
If that doesn’t work out then I want to be an archaeologist.
Anything pertaining to science.

I am 14 right now and I plan on continuing with straight A’s. When I go into high school next year, I am taking all honors classes and when I graduate I am hoping to get into an Ivy League but if I don’t, I plan on going to either the University of Arizona or Stanford University (BTW, did anyone see the game??? TERRIBLE!!!). I plan on attending grad school to become either a lawyer or a psychologist, but I might be an engineer since I LOVE math!!!
