Before answering to your question, I suggest you review your goals to see if it’s S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timing). If you don’t see your goals S.M.A.R.T., re – work on your goals. If you do, then set a plan to implement it, make time to see how far you go, make changes in actions if needed, involve people (friends, family etc.) to help. The bissgest obstacle for achieving your goals is having no plan to make it happen. Good luck!

Checkpoints are a great way to keep sight of your goals. For example, if I wanted to lose 8 pounds in a month I would set checkpoints of 2 pounds a week. If I meet a smaller goal, the weekly mark, I am that much closer to my ultimate goal. It helps me to stay motivated because I know I’m on the right track.

Write Them Down

*team up-try and work towards common goals with someone else. this may give you the support system you need
*reward yourself-promise yourself a reward if you achieve your goals…like if you’re trying to eat healthy and loose weight…at the end of the month…buy something for yourself as a reward
*write everything you hope to accomplish down, including the steps you’ll take to get there-this way, there is no way for you to bend your own rules because they are set on paper

write your short term goals that would build on to getting closer to your long term goals
