I just never really fully got a concept of high self-esteem and low self-esteem.
For example, what requires one to have low Self-esteem/high self-esteem?
Actual examples/scenarios/etc would help.

While high esteem people like the way they look, and usually feel important.
There both pretty much teh exact opposite of the other.

Self esteem is what you feel about yourself. You may not like the way you look, feel, act. Self esteem also affects the way you communicate with the people around you. A lot of the time, people associate self-esteem with the way you feel about your appearance. But this isn’t necessarily true. I would say that environment can truly really affect ones self-esteem. It can be a traumatic experience or something exciting or maybe the way your friends and family treat you. Everyone has it, it changes all the time (for example) when I was a child I developed a really negative self-esteem which completely transformed the way I treated people. I was a mean, manipulative, b*tch and I absorbed this self-esteem from being in a bad environment (watching my own parents fighting and eventually, me fighting other kids) it took many years for me to really overcome what I did, and now that I look back on it (I am 20 now) I am in shock over what I did, and I would never repeat those actions and there are moments when my self esteem just dips so far down in regret over what I did and I really want to take those actions back and its a struggle, but now I would say my self esteem has really transformed into a positive, as I constantly push myself everyday to treat the people around me with the utmost respect and caring. Self-esteem is a really complex topic and I think its ridiculous that people try to separate it. It is ONE thing, and people do not have just “high” or just “low”.

It’s how you see yourself. Low self esteem means you feel aren’t worth crap and high self esteem means you feel like you can do anything. that’s the short gist of it.
