What Is The Best/ Compact & Organized Way To Store Hundreds Of Music Cd’s, Software Cd’s And Dvds.?
Hi,
I live in a small apt. and my husband has collected hundreds of music cds, which we can’t find what were are looking for when we needed. Also, I don’t want them to get ruined along with the expensive software cds and now the dvd’s. Is there a tool other than the standard furniture you see in store for cds? I have seen on ebay some sorters that stack up, and they insert them into your computer. Anyone recommend those or another product or idea?
Thanks,
Gaby

Use Disk Stakka
Check the link below for one such product http://www.imation.com/products/disc_sta…
You can use the “disk stakka” mentioned by another, and then use the database on your computer to keep track of what is where. These are stackable so that you can use more than 1.
Myself, I have over a thousand floppys/cd’s/dvd’s, (music, software, files, OS’s, etc.) I simply use 3 tall bookcases with adjustable shelves, and add extra shelves made from plywood, and put EACH disc in a labeled case. The Old style, “thick” cd/dvd case works best as you can put a readable name on the edge of the case, and organize them as you want; just like books!
PS two of us live in a 10′ x 40′ converted boxcar!!
you can basically save you whole music library on a disc if you burn it as a data file
