Always be gentle, sweet and nice and also polite. Encourage them in everything they do. People with special needs are extra sensitive, don’t lose your rage when they do something that annoys you. Have a bit of patience.

Good luck, keep doing what you do, it’s very noble.
That depends on the person. You can’t make all special needs people feel happy with one sentence any more than you can make all left-handed people feel happy with one sentence.
The best thing you can do is treat the person as an individual and get to know them as an individual, then you’ll have a much better idea of what to say to make them feel happy
dont treat them like they are different. just be as normal and friendly as you can with them, and respect them as you would any child with normal abilities.
it depends on the kind of special needs they have, but the special ed kids that i used to work with were always very helpful and eager to help me out with cleaning up or organizing. i would suggest little tasks to ask them to do, like helping you carry crayons or pushing chairs into the desk. always thank them afterwards since this is what grownups do.
make them feel important.
treat them like you would treat any other person.
listen to them and talk about things they like…be their friend.
Talk to them as you would anyone else and be sweet =]
be yourself but nicer lol
