What Personality Is Better: Quiet/reserved, Or One That’s Always Happy And Talks Alot? ?

2

I was wondering if it’s better to have a quiet/reserved demeanor that shows little emotions or one that’s outgoing and is always apparently happy.
I see that people who are quiet are generally respected more often than those who talk frequently. I think that quiet people get an extra element of mystery added onto them when they don’t say anything, it makes people want to more know about them?
So….
Which personality is better for attracting females?
Which personality is better for garnering respect?
Thanks in advance all.

I don’t know that one type is better than the other in either regard. I’m chatty and outgoing. My fiancee is quiet and reserved. We balance each other out quite nicely. I think that the quiet, reserved types might garner initial respect more quickly. But you can be quiet, and completely ignorant. Or, you can be chatty and very adept at your job. Outside of initial impressions, I think your actions, work ethic, and how you treat others is the source of respect.

A combination :)
A modest, yet confident guy that has a kind personality is attractive to me.
.. and ditto for respect.
