An organised religion is a cult. The only difference being is that it has more members.
One is on the right path, all others are ‘wrong’.
People are seduced into error, – not so much by the false teachers, – but by their own personal deficiencies in discerning the truth.
“Buyer beware” holds true in a lot of different areas, – from commercial, – to inter-personal relationships.
Edit:
You’ll have to come up with examples of your so-called ‘contradictions’ in the Bible. You can’t just throw stuff like this out there.
But if you’re earth-bound and naturalistic based, – the super-natural “does-not-compute”. It would appear ‘absurd’ to the naturalist.
sura 17:1 tells us about mohammad going up to heaven and talking to allah, the night journey. the hadiths tell us he got there by allah lowering a golden ladder from the first heaven; another hadith says allah lowered a rope and with the help of gabrial mohammad climbed up to heaven;; and yet another says he rode buraq, a flying horsey. now! which one is true.
