When Jesus Started Beating Up On Fig Trees, Should He Have Been Sent To Anger Management?

Especially since the tree was out of season. Believers, however, will go to great lengths to explain that it’s a parable and not to be taken literally. The good stuff, amazingly enough, can all be taken literally. Convenient how that works out.

Matthew 21:19 (New International Version)http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?sea…
Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.
>> Jesus did that to demonstrate a point to his disciples. To know that, you’d have to consider the passage within its context.
Matthew 21:19-22 (New International Version)http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?sea…
Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked. Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
I hope this helps.
God bless.

Poor tree, didn’t even have a brain to defend itself with. No judge no jury poor tree. Trees have arms but can’t fight back with them. Very disturbing indeed

This was not a parable. It was an actual event that took place over a two day period. Mark 11:14-20
