Check your local or county mental health center.
They are low cost providers of mental health services.
Also, many schools teaching counseling and therapy have low cost or free counseling services provided by students who are in training.
Good luck,

Check with clinics and drs in your area about groups or low cost therapists. Check for hotlines in your area too. They are free to call and may have information that you can use. Most hotlines are in your phone book near the government pages. Good luck.

Seek out programs that offer anger management to people that are court appointed. Not only will you be proactive in addressing your issues, you get a good dose of the stories of people whose anger has brought legal consequences, from a safe distance. Check the clerk of courts website for your county. You could always find a good friend or relative you trust to talk to you for free. And don’t forget to stop and take 3 (or 10) deep breaths when you feel out of control.
P.S. Changing your diet can make a big impact on your anger but you have to be ready.

There are very few places that offer free counseling. If they did, they wouldn’t be in business very long because they had no income to support their programs. I would start with a free clinic and see if they can refer you. Next, I would contact the county Public Health Nurse – she may have some ideas. While you are waiting to find a place for this counseling, start working on yourself, stop blaming others for your poor behavior and change your response to things that make you mad.
