Have you thought of self publishing? You could self publish at these sites. They’re all free to publish, but you’d have to sell as an ebook.http://www.scribd.comhttp://www.youpublish.com/referredby/per…
If you’d like to self publish hardcopy you could try lulu.com
Once you get recognised you could then try the more traditional, more expensive path.

Go to your nearest library or bookstore and rent (library) or buy (bookstore) the book, Writer’s Market.
It’s the only book that aspiring and veterans writers consult to find agents and publishers for their books.
This is the book I was introduced to in 1997 when I wanted my first book published (and it worked for me).
The front section of Writer’s Market contains articles that will help you understand what you need to successfully sell an agent on your book proposal.
In the same library or book section, you will probably also find a book that’s dedicated to finding agents. I don’t remember its name, but Writer’s Market is truly beneficial for you.
I’m the author of three best-selling books. Writer’s Market is the only book I consult.
