I’ve been watching the movie “Yakuza” and “The Godfather”, Both are good but just how organized are they, out of curiosity?

Comments on Which Organized Crime Group Has A Better Hierarchy, The Yakuza Or The Italian Mafia?
I don’t know the movie “Yakuza”, but the movie “The Godfather” is fictional, is about American Mafia, and is about 1945 to 1955 years.
Of course, present Italian mafia is different.
First of all, you cannot say a mafioso from another person from his dress. Some mafiosi have fancy homes and luxury cars, but others, the ones wanted by police, live quite humble lives.
Usually they are quite male chauvinist, but in recent years some wifes or daughters of killed mafia bosses have taken over the businesses of their husbands/fathers.
Until 15 years ago, many judges and policemen were killed by Italian mafia, but in recent years, they almost ceased to kill non-criminals. Usually they kill only each other. Probably, this was due to a severe fight against those who kill civil servants.
Recently Sicilian mafia became less important, but similar organizations in two other Italian regions became more important: Ndrangheta in Calabria, and Camorra in Campania.
To have an accurate and fresh look at the present fiercest Italian mafia, the Camorra, see the movie “Gomorrah” (“Gomorra”, in Italian).
