Setting goals mean nothing. I can set them all I want–DOING something to achieve them is what may better my life. Having a partner has nothing to do with me or my life either. I have very little patience for other people, I have trouble dealing with my own shitt let alone another human being’s, I am not affectionate, and I have nothing to offer anyone. I would much rather keep to myself for the sake of me and any prospective partner, than share my garbage with someone else.

Some people are naturally self-starters. They know what they want to do, and they do it. People like that could be held back by a partner, and the responsibilities inherent in any relationship. On the other hand, an ambitious person might do very well having a partner who is willing to do all the grunt work so the ambitious one can work toward goals with no distraction.
Some people are fine if in a very structured environment, like the military or a very fundamental religion, where they know what is expected of them. They do well with a partner, and their goals are not personal, but the internalized goals of their environment or organization.
I think the best in life is having a partner with compatible goals, and the two being more than either of them could be separately.

Setting goals… would help me have a better life…
Having a partner is a great thing… but there are times, when you need to go through that path… alone… having a partner would be too… much of a distraction… and pain… for both you and the significant other…
At many points life’s all about sharing… and if someone does have a partner… his life limits to that one person… I don’t wish for that sort of life… to me, life’s too beautiful, to share it with only a single mind… its a sacrifice to make, being alone at most times… but I’m sure its a journey worth its price, if not more…
Many say, having a partner is like having another person who’s a part of your life… but for that to happen, it requires time… and tolerance… and still its a risk… although well worthy its price, it still remains a risk… consider me a coward… for I’d rather not open that door… in my life… the prospects, are frightening… and seem the least exciting…
I’m not that greedy… I’d prefer to limit myself to one… life’s complicated enough without needing me to complicate it even more… and being a cowardly, selfish person… I’d rather the world let me be…
One is a company… Two is Unwanted… and Three is meant to be Left Behind… and the Rest are Extras meant to tweak life as it goes(a Crowd)…
Cheers!!!!!!

I’ll vote for both. Positive thinking is so important in life. Have hope and pray about your life. Know that God can help you live a better life if you want Him to help you. You can have a personal relationship with God by saying the prayer below. God is our Creator, all-knowing, all-powerful, eternal, holy, love. God loves us and sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, so we can go to heaven if we know and follow Him. Forever means without end — time on and on without death. Forever is what happens after we die. Either we go to heaven and be with God forever, or we go to hell which is very bad and painful forever. The good people who are saved believers in Jesus Christ go to heaven. The bad people go to hell. We need to know and follow God in this world to get to heaven in the next world. We follow God by loving and obeying Him and loving others for Him. Jesus Christ, God’s Son, is our bridge to God. Jesus died on the cross to cancel our sins. We need to accept Jesus into our life as our Lord and Savior forever to receive God’s blessing and forgiveness plus go to heaven to be with God forever after we die. This is about being a born-again Christian. Faith in God is a gift from God. You can pray for faith in God. Just speak out and ask God for the faith to believe in Him and to follow Him. Some people find faith in God when they realize the beauty in the world is made by God. Evolution can’t explain the world’s natural beauty, for example, the parks in the world, animals, flowers, peacocks, sunsets, butterflies, rainbows, etc. After you have your faith on, you can pray a sinner’s prayer to be a born-again Christian. This prayer is very important and should be said with a sincere heart and faith in God. This is the prayer: “Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that Jesus Christ is the sacrifice for our sins. I have done the following sins (state these out) and I pray to discontinue these sins. I pray to receive Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.” I’m Lutheran and I like the Baptist churches too. You could check out a Christian church and also see about their weekly Bible study group as a good way to learn about God’s will for your life. You can pray to God about your daily life and have a Christian church pray for you.

I don’t think having a partner would make me better my life, but I don’t think it would hinder me either (if that makes sense). I’m young so I want to have a few years to set goals/accomplish some stuff alone before settling down with a guy.

I’ve been kicking around setting a goal for this year: to find a partner. That would kill two birds, well more than two, actually, because of the benefits of having someone else … it would maximize my bird-to-stone ratio.

“Which will help you have a better life more- Setting goals or having a partner?”
You will have a better life by scoring goals and having sex.

It depends. You won’t always be happy with a partner, and there’s no point in setting goals for yourself if you don’t work to complete them.

I think having partner – you won’t have to set goals, they will arrive at your door step themselves.

Setting personal goals and having a partner, are two different adventures?

I have my goals set so I guess having a special someone to reach them with would be nice.
