I see good results and I work out diligently for several weeks at a time, but then I start to dread it and make excuses. How can I keep up my motivation?

Well I usually have one of my friends hold out a donut or hot dogs or something good out of the car window while I chase the car. Food is always a motivator. Or I work out with really attractive looking people. For instance the instructor for the Zumba classes that I take is a hot and will give me extra pointers when I’m really working out hard!
I will also use music as motivation, something with a fast beat to work out too on my iPod.

I don’t need to be motivated to brush my teeth nor do I need motivation to go to the gym. I’ve just made it part of my routine. Once you do something long enough it becomes habit. If you can carve out specific gym time each day, maybe it will work like that for you too.

Ask yourself why you want to lose weight and then find a way to remind yourself of it when you are going to workout. I look at supermodels, but thats just me.

Find someone else to work out with, usually it make it a little more enjoyable. Maybe even 3 people, that way they will urge you not to make any excuses.
