Why do people get angry at others for seeming happy?
I’ve been working at a local restaurant for a little over a year now. It seems that no matter what I do or how hard I work, people get mad at me. I treat everyone the same, I give them no special treatment, and I don’t talk about any of them behind their backs. It was just brought to my attention 2 girls were upset by the fact that I always seem happy. Could this be true of the other girls and if so why?

Simple. They envy you for being happy at your job. They probably can’t be happy so they see you and envy that. And they probably see that you ignore other things and avoid talking about anyone and treating anyone special or meanly. They may just want to poke at you to get something out. They may want you to get mad just for the fun of it…so just ignore it.=)
jealousy. ignore them. some people are just like that. you cant do anything bout em
Jealousy my dear ,plain and simple, they are jealous of the fact that you can be upbeat and smiling and happy and dare i say they are probably jealous that your tip jar could possibly be filled more than theirs. When one is dining out that waitress i prefer is one who is a little more smiley and not afraid to have a conversation over something that is not just about the menu.Make sure though that the ones who are mad at you its not because of something you haven’t done.
