Why Do People Try To Make Others Miserable Who Are Happy?

2

I know they say misery loves company and all this but I’m convinced that 85 percent of humans can’t stand to see another person happy or satisfied with their life.
Why do people set out to destroy someone else’s happiness?
It’s like if anything good happens to you or you’re satisfied and content * happy* they have to ruin it?
What is the purpose of this? Is it that hard to see someone else happy?

i dont think literally 85% of people think like that. but put yourself in other shoes. when your in a bad mood, and you see someone who’s completely happy you start to ask yourself “why are the so happy, what do they have that I dont have and why do they deserve to be so happy” It really is hard to see someone so happy when your a mess.

Well, if i’m in a bad mood and some annoying perky jerk comes up to me and says “Hey! How are you!? Why the frown!? Theres no reason to be sad! Cheer up!” With huge smiles and giggles and jumps and they just won’t be quiet and leave me alone, then I think I have reason to want to punch them in the face? But other than that, i’m glad for happy people no matter what my mood.
