Why Do Supervisors Want These Skills- Dependability, Positive Attitude And Follow Instructions?

They are setting goal for themselves on things they want to break while they destroy morale.

Probably because they want people who show up on time and when they are scheduled to work, don’t call in sick or make excuses and basically get the job done without further song and dance.
The ability to follow instructions would be instrumental for this to happen, and a positive attitude works along with it as well.

Well, my first bet would be because they want responsible and loyal employees in order for their business, or operations, to run smoothly and be productively lucrative.

Why would any supervisor want an employee who won’t show up on time if at all, brings a negative attitude that other employees have to put up with, and does whatever they want?

if you have all those qualities it makes for better productivity and a better work place.

there is an old axiom in business circles,
the hardest part of the job is just showing up
you be suprised how quickly soon after an employee is hired
how quickly depedenbility becomes a problem
and if that attribute is found lacking, then usually the other 2 are also lacking as the employee has personal problems in their life, and as such affects them in more ways than one. Sooner or later ( and it’s usally sooner ) ther person get terminated from their employee.

Why do YOU think they want them??

Because those are the qualities of a productive and useful employee.

DUUUHHHH!!!!

It makes their job easier.

As others have said, they are good qualities, but if you need to ask a question like this then you probably don’t have these qualities.
