No. I think that is an oxymoron. Buying a book that someone else wrote on how to improve yourself. Hmmmmm.

Yes, so long as it dealt with practical, real world examples. The more “war stories” the better.
I would not buy one that explained how to do things illegally or game the system.

A book on exercise or proper diet is a good purchase or something which relates to a skill (language, hobby, etc) that you can develop but if you are referring to a book that is specifically on self improvement in general then absolutely not… all of them are a complete waste of time!!
No one book has the answer.. best to use common sense!!!
